Happy Halloween!
Pocahontas, Hannah Montana and the cutest little elephant would like to wish you a Happy Halloween!
Mitike was quite excited to say "Chicken Feet" (Trick or treat) LOL she is so cute!
Miheret LOVED being a blond..and wanted to wear the wig to bed!
Tenaye had a very interesting evening, when her 2 brand new fillings (put in on Wednesday) fell out. Getting them put in was very traumaticc...Tenaye screamed and cried (while sedated) throughout the whole process. As it happened..we went to a small gathering after trick or treating, and there was a Dentist there. I had him look at it to see if it could wait until Monday when the office was open. But he felt it needed a temporary filling...and would take her down to the office and do it right then.
Well I was at the party, alone, with the 3 girls. Miheret was fine, but Mitike wouldn't stay with anyone there without freaking out..and Tenaye didnt want to go alone with the dentist..and knowing how she might react, I didn't want her to go alone, and I couldn't see how I could manage TK and a freaking out Tenaye at the dentist!
A friend of mine, who Tenaye knows well, volunteered to go with Tenaye to the office to get her teeth fixed. Tenaye did well until they asked her to get into the chair - she simply looked at them and said 'no', and just stood there! Anyway they finally got her in the chair..but only by sitting on top of my friend who had taken her. After that she did awesome - no tears, no screaming..and they managed to get the temp fillings in place.

First Skating Lesson
THe girls had their first skating lesson yesterday - they had a blast, and when we got home Miheret asked if she could skate forever!! Stacey..you'd better get out here and show them a thing or two!! LOL

Miheret did awesome..caught on right away..and if she fell she popped right up with no problem.
Tenaye loved to stand in turn in a circle...her feet kept getting further and further apart until she was doing the splits..then she would fall!

Tenaye Turns 5!
It's hard to believe she is 5!! She is growing up soo fast! Tenaye has been sooooo excited for her birthday. When she woke up this am, I asked her how it felt to finally be 5...she then told me that she is not 5 until she blows out her candles and eats her cake! Ok then... LOL
With her birthday on Thanksgiving this year - the day started with the baking of 2 pumpkin pies...all day Tenaye kept asking me when I was going to make her birthday cake. Well it was a busy day and there was never 'time' for me to make a cake..so I told her we would just have birthday Pie instead..LOL she wasn't too keen on that idea..but said it wouldn't be soo bad if it was Blueberry Pie (which she likes) and not pumpkin pie..she doesn't like! What she didn't know was that her cake was made and hid the night before..She was a good sport all day, and woudl have been find with a Birthdya Pumpkin Pie! LOL..So the look on her face when we brought her cake around the corner was priceless!
Here is the cake...a bit of a disaster..but Tenaye loved it..so that's what counts!

Being Instrospective after Cake
The passing of the crown...must have happened while I was dishing up cake, as I didn't see this happening! Classic Meko, always a ham for the camera!
Mitike enjoyed the birthday as well...she ran around all day saying "Tenaye is 5", for awhile she was 5 too..but by supper she was backing to saying she was 2 again!
Tenaye with her Build a Bear from Alyssa...she just LOVED It. And Alyssa too....poor Alyssa..Tenaye and Miheret followed her around the entire time she was here! (However, its a fun bit of payback for me..as I recall Alyssa at 3,4 and 5..that was always with "Auntie Shelley" whenever we were visiting!)

We attended my cousin Pauls wedding this summer. The girls were SOOOO excited to go to a wedding...even though they didn't quite get the whole concept...they knew they got fancy hair dos, got to wear special fancy dresses..and there was dancing and cake involved..how much better could it get!
