From Feb. 14, 2006 to Feb. 14, 2007 so much has happened and changed. So much has happened in this year, we spent the evening talking about all the firsts the kids have experiences, and how much they have grown and changed. Here are a few Examples:Mekonnen has grown about 3" and gained about 10 lbs. He has learned to speak English, learned to skate and ride a bike. He has had his first plane ride, first experience with snow, first Christmas, Halloween, Easter, Valentines day, Won his first gold medal. He has tried a whole lot of new things - basketball, Tae Kwon Do, badminton, floor hockey, street hockey, ice hockey (see a pattern here :) ) He has tried a tonne of new foods - and happily takes his one manditory bite of anything before opting not to eat it or to eat it :)
Tenaye has grown 5" and gained about 12 lbs. She was in the 20th percentile when she arrived in Canada, and today she weighed in in the 90th percentile :) She has learned to walk, talk, laugh and smile. She has learned to feed herself, go to the big girl potty :) She too has had the same list of firsts as Mekonnen.
We have been so very very blessed with these two beautiful children! Thanks to everyone who had been a part of our journey and for all the love and support that has come our way from day one until today!
